Skin Deep's Expanding to be even better than before!
By now you've probably heard the news that everyone is talking about...Skin Deep is expanding! That's right...as announced in last month's newsletter, our already beautiful day spa is getting a "facelift" of it's own, and you won't believe the amazing transformation that's in store! To keep you informed of the many exciting changes as they happen, we have added this Expansion News section to our monthly newsletter. We invite you to follow our progress and to come along as we journey toward this incredible new stage in the "life" of our spa.
As many of you are already aware, Skin Deep has occupied its present location for 15 years, where the spa has undergone two previous expansions. This will be the spas third and most extensive expansion to date, increasing the size of Skin Deep from 3000 to approximately 7200 square feet! Renovation plans include enlarging existing treatment rooms and adding new Universal* treatment rooms (*equipped to accommodate Facials, Massages, or dry Body Treatments!) plus an additional room designed to provide auxiliary Medical Services performed by our on-staff physician (such as Laser Hair Removal, Photo Facials, Botox & Restylane). We are also introducing new services such as Acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, and Permanent Makeup to address a greater variety of our Guests' needs. The Lobby and Retail Area will be completely remodeled to include a lovely waterfall in the waiting area, plus a tempting new Skin Bar where you will have the opportunity to actually sample various skin care products before you buy them! The entire spa will be beautifully redecorated with such attention to detail as if we were building a custom home... treatment rooms will be tastefully designed (we've sought guidance from an expert in the art of feng shui to help ensure "spiritual balance" within the spa)...soft lighting & soothing music will calm and relax you... state-of-the-art temperature controls will allow us to better accommodate Guests individual needs. Even the Changing Rooms will be redecorated so as to enhance the peaceful ambiance of the spa.
Perhaps most exciting will be the enchanting new Water Experience, which will include a self-serve Body Scrub Bar (enjoy the freedom to choose & use the exfoliating scrub that most appeals to you), cascading Waterfalls, tranquil Wading Pools, and an invigorating aromatic Steam Room (choose from wonderful aromatherapy spray scents like bergamont, lavender & eucalyptus to enhance your Steam Room visit). The Water Experience will also be used in conjunction with two "Wet Treatment" rooms where more elaborate body treatments will be provided for your indulgence, including overhead Fresh Water Rain Showers. These facilities will be available for use by up to 12 clients simultaneously without the assistance of a therapist! (What a great incentive idea for corporate rewards and group meetings!)
To make this amazing transition as seamless as possible for our Guests, the expansion will be completed in two phases. During Phase I (now underway!) our newly-acquired space (Suite A - previously occupied by Tony Romas**) will be used to build new Treatment Rooms, a Staff Room, and storage areas, as well as a temporary Reception and Retail Area (for use during Phase II of the project). Skin Deep will then be able to operate at full capacity out of the renovated Suite A while Phase II takes place. The second phase of the project will consist of transforming the current facility into a new Reception Area, Retail Area, Changing Rooms, and the Water Experience. **A prototype of the spa's new design is currently under construction within this space, and a peek through our window will soon offer you an enticing preview of what's to come!
